SATURDAY OCTOBER 31 | 6:30PM-8:00PM
Les Sylphides. Giselle. Swan Lake. Many of the most iconic story ballets have a bit of a spooky streak to them. Stories of romance and tragedy are told through the poise and technical excellence of ballet with emotion and artistry. Embrace the drama and put technique into practice in this Intermediate/Advanced Ballet: Spooky Variation class. In this 90-minute workshop style class, dancers will sharpen their technique through Vaganova-rooted barre and center work before learning a classical variation from a ballet that makes your eyes widen and your heart race. Dancers will receive variation coaching, emphasizing the little details to make the movement sparkle.
Please keep in mind, this class is for intermediate to advanced dancers. To allow room for curiosity within movement, ballet technique basics and classroom etiquette should come as second nature. Posture, alignment, positions, terminology, and strength are foundational in this class level and will not be taught but rather reviewed (and improved upon) when necessary.
Mosaic’s Int/Adv classes are a space for communicating not the how but the why of movement. Growth will look different for every dancer in this class and that’s the fun part. We’ll move together, refine together, stretch our limitations together, and build confidence in making creative choices. This is not a space for competition; it's a space to be challenged to grow from where you are as a dancer.
Appropriate Footwear: ballet flats or dance socks. Dancers en pointe may be permitted to take part of class en pointe at the teacher’s discretion. Please reserve all dance shoes and sneakers for indoor use only.
NOTE: Multiple class discount auto-applies at checkout.
A Few IMPORTANT Details-
Discounts are not able to be shared between fam bams. Discounts cannot be shared and are only eligible for individual registrants.
To ensure we don't have to chase you down for a waiver, each registrant must checkout separately.
